DAY 2:

VALLE NEVADO
Passengers will be picked up at thier hotels, to star the ascend of the Cordillera de las Andes, 60 km from Santiago, on a sinuous road, with about 40 curves. First we are going to arrive to Farellones, which is one of the ski centers of the central zone, the trip will last about 2 hours. Here we will have the chance to admire 2700 mts.summits cover by snow. We also are going to visit other famous ski center called El Colorado.Our ascend will continue for about 20 more curves to Valle Nevado.
This center is located at 3000 mt. from the sea level. Also it is the seat of important international snowboad competitions, that have place every year. We will have time to enjoy this very passionate winter sports.
Later you can have lunch ( which be account by each passanger)
At noon we will arrive to yor hotel. |

DAY 3:
|
|
|
|
PORTILLO AND INCA´S LAGOON
We start the wonderful trip through the intermediate depression majestically capped with the Andes mountains range to reach Portillo and its unique Inca´s Lagoon.
We´ll get the Chacabuco Monument, historical site where a battle for Chile´s independence took place in 1817, then we´ll cross a tunnel bordering on next region.
Later we will meet with the Aconcagua Mount in the background and along the road the old Andean railway will get together with us. Small towns, mining camps, glaciers and the impressive Andes mountains can be seen from Rio Blanco.
We will become witness of how the man built protective passageways as shelters from avalanches occurring in the winter season. Then time for lunch at visitors´s own expense but not before marveling at how imposing the Inca´s lagoon is. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. |

EL COLORADO
From your Hotel we go to El Colorado whos situated in the Metropolitan region and only 39 km. from Santiago. The maximum altitude is 3,333 with a fall of 903 Meters., which gives a ski area of 1,000 hectares. Receiving many short snowfalls with an average of 5 meters of precipitation in a normal year, El Colorado also has a snowmaking system to guarantee snow throughout the season.
This center, together with La Parva and Valle Nevado, forms the biggest and best ski area in South America.
